What is scratches?
When horses walk in sand and mud, debris can easily be kicked up and cause tiny scratches on their legs. Quite rapidly, the natural oils of the skin become depleted and can become dry and infected as fungus and bacteria get into the horses’ scratches. Untreated, scratches can be debilitating.
